After two months since I foolishly detached myself from Buddhism, I am now ready to summarise that period of my life with scientific precision: bleurgh.

Perhaps it’s because I’m ignorant of that particular sphere of endeavor, but what, pray tell, is “bleurgh?”

Mike, I hope that you are indeed ignorant in that particular sphere of endeavour, so please allow me to clarify the meaning of the word “bleurgh”. It means a sickening disgust one feels towards oneself for poor decisions, not deprived, however, of anticipation of the inevitable relief (as in after a good “bleurgh”) and hope arising from a realisation that it is only oneself that is sick, not the world.

I understand. Studying my sutra of disgust and disappointment, studying it with my mind and with my body. And I thought we were just joking innocently… Thank you 🙂
