Last night’s siting was amazing. Literally nothing happened.
I should have been exhausted by the time I got to sit. I spent nearly 3 hours driving. I traveled to Wicklow Mountains where I visited the Indian Sculpture Park (can you imagine? In the middle of Irish fields and hills…) and Glendalough where I enjoyed unplanned 3 hours walk (13 km/8 miles, including climbing steep granite hills) that almost killed me. Of course, I didn’t bring any food or water with me. (I’m not an envious person, but how I envied the tourists casually and ungratefully munching on gummy bears!)
I missed 3 meditation sessions yesterday: my morning one, and 2 in Dublin (with Shambhala and Zen groups). I must go there next weekend. But I did sit before going to bed. I didn’t feel like sitting. I didn’t expect it to be any good. But it turned out very well. Don’t expect. Perhaps that’s the key to the good meditation?
Glendalough is pretty tranquil in itself.. there are worse places you could miss meditation for!

Hi, oh yes, there are wore places… 7,000 pubs in Ireland vs. one Glendalough. What are the odds? 🙂
